The DevCasa Challenge, which runs from February 3rd to March 24th, includes a $1,000 cash prize for the winning app, whether its adding cloud storage to a current app or creating a new one. And all apps submitted will be featured on our App Showcase page after the contest ends. CloudFS is a plug & play file system including upload, download, and share functionality, designed to make cloud storage simple for developers. Plus, unlike other 3rd party storage APIs, you control the entire UX and maintain ownership of all users and their data. To enter, all you need is a Bitcasa CloudFS account.
Eligibility
The Challenge is open to:

individuals who are at least the age of majority where they reside as of the time of entry
-
teams of eligible individuals
-
organizations (including corporations, not-for-profit corporations and other nonprofit organizations, limited liability companies, partnerships, and other legal entities) that exist and have been organized or incorporated at the time of entry, and employ no more than 50 people (“Organizations”)
-
organizations that employ more than 50 people (“Large Organizations”)
Requirements
What to Create:
Makers must create (or have created) a working software application that utilizes Bitcasa CloudFS via the free prototyping account.
Functionality:
The Application must be capable of being successfully installed and running consistently on the platform for which it is intended, and must function as depicted in the video and/or expressed in the text description.
Platforms:
A submitted Application must run on at least one of the following:

an Android, Blackberry, iOS, Kindle, or Windows Mobile smartphone or tablet;
-
a mobile or desktop web browser;
-
a desktop computer (Windows PC or Mac Desktop);
-
other hardware (including, but not limited to, wearable technology, but excluding open source hardware); or
-
proprietary hardware developed by the Maker which includes a software component (including wearable technology or other hardware).

How to enter
- Sign up for a free Bitcasa CloudFS Prototype Account to create a new software application, or support an existing application. The free account provides up to 25GB of storage and supports up to 10,000 API calls per month.
- Register for the Challenge on the Challenge Website by clicking the “Register” button. This will enable you receive important updates and access the “Enter a Submission” page.
- Complete and enter all of the required fields on the “Enter a Submission” page of the Challenge Website (each a “Submission”) during the Challenge Submission Period, and follow requirements.
