First tip: CloudFS

You may know that getting started with CloudFS is pretty easy from previous updates, but there are also some tips and tricks we wanted to share with you. Over the next few updates we'll be sharing those tips with you which can make your life even more easier.

API

  1. What are test accounts and how should they be used?

Test accounts should be utilized as if they were your end users. You can use these accounts to simulate the end user experience and to test the code that you’re writing for them. Each test account has access to their own file storage system, where they will securely store their data.

  2. How are test accounts created?

Developers on the Prototype CloudFS plan can create a maximum of five test end-user accounts. They are created within the Admin console at https://access.bitcasa.com/Console/TestAccounts. Use one to work through the signing process.

Developers on paid CloudFS plans can create an unlimited number of end-user accounts. They are created using the Create Account API. This administrative API uses a different set of client ID and secret credentials which can be obtained from the developer’s CloudFS admin account profile. For more information on how to get started with CloudFS, including creating test accounts, authenticating and more, check out our Get Started guide.

  3. Can I edit the Test Account login information?

Currently, there is not a way to edit Test Account login information.

  4. What if I forget the login information for a Test Account?

Unfortunately, there isn’t a way to retrieve Test Account credentials. We will be implementing this soon.
